E for Epouvantail

Epouvantail = scarecow.
If you've ever went to a padi field (or seen an image of paid field), its what the Malay call 'orang-orang'. Its a hay-man or a decoy in the shape of a human. It is usually dressed in old clothes and placed in open fields to discourage birds such as crows or sparrows from disturbing the crops.
